I was told that I would have interest free payments for six months when I agreed to purchase a computer. I did not get interest free payments at all. That is the only reason I agreed to the purchase

I agreed to interest free payments from dell for six months. The salesperson I talked to told me that I would get the interest free payments. His name was Jim B Antich, he works for dell. That is the only reason I agreed to the payments. After I received my computer and my first bill I noticed that I was not getting interest free payments. I notified Dell and they told me that I did not qualify. I made it clear to the salesperson that I did not want the computer if I could not get interest free payments. I am being charged very high interest rates plus extra fees and late fees even when I pay 4-6 days ahead of the deadline date. I purchased the computer 6/11/07. The original purchase price was $1,100.00. I was paying well over my minimum payment until I realized it wasn't doing me any good. I still make payments every month but sometimes it is only the minimum. It is now Feb. 27 and I still owe $912.57. I have payed well over $200.00 to them but that is all I am getting credited for. I already paid $200.00 in one payment. I was also taked into paying much more for a computer than I wanted to. I was calling about one I saw on special for $600.00. I told the sales person several times that is all I wanted to pay. He would not take no for an answer. He basically told me I would need the extras for the computer to work properly. He knew that I did not know much about computers. I guess that might be my fault for falling for a sales pitch, but I feel I was taken advantage of. I do know that the agreement was for interest free payments for six months though. I would like to have something done about. I am paying for something that I would have never agreed to. I already have too much money into this to send it back. I also don't want my credit affected. I would appreciate any help possible with this matter. Take my friendly advice, DON'T BUY FROM DELL they are very dishonest, and will take advantage of you!
