In Sept. Of 2004 I was shopping around for a computer for my highschool age children (who are now out of highschool). After talking to Dell I decided to buy my desktop home computer through them.
They guaranteed me I'd get a better deal than going thru a rent to own company. I called Dell today after going over my bill and asked them to explain to me how if I paid $1103.30 for the computer and $99.00 for software totaling $1202.30 without taxes ans shipping do I still owe $1205.00.
I have been paying monthly payments online consistently for four years. They said it is because I only make my minimum payments and my interest rate is 31%!!! Why on earth don't they tell you this at the time of purchase instead of just stressing low monthly payments.
I have paid at least $1872 and still owe $1205 at this rate i'll never have it paid off. I really don't think my 2004 computer is worth over $3000. I feel cheated and misrepresented. I'm ready to pack up the computer and they can have it back.
