I am an affiliate marketer and I needed a web host and builder. I like to market products through websites as it is my passion. Well, this was my first site. I used Website Wizard and had problems from day one. But, what did I know. I thought that I was getting a good deal.
Through out my experience with them I had issues. They are very basic and charge too much for that! I could never get in touch with them by phone. They would promise to change things and they never did.
I would like to focus on the worst thing that they did-When you do a site one of the most important things is using certain code in the site to get it listed in Google, Yahoo, etc. If your host doesn't offer help with this, you will have to get another host! This is very time consuming and costs extra money.
They offered no assistance in this area and every time the issue came up, I was told that "We do not offer assistance in altering the HTML" (the code that they built and is imperitive that I be able to alter.) So, I am NOW stuck having to go with another host. Anyone who knows anything about websites, whom I tell this to, is outraged.
They will not offer me a refund. I paid $259 up front for one year of service and have only used it for 6 months. They owe me $85 and will not pay. They claim that they only offer a refund for 30 days after purchase. That is crap because things like this come up and you are left hanging. They condescendingly apologize in vain and tell you that it is not their fault. Their customer service cut me off and would not allow me to speak with an Owner or supervisor.
I won't win because I signed the terms. Well, I had no idea that I would be in this situation.
What baffles me is that I found a package with another host for $150 a year and they offer soooo much more. If I got my refund I would only be out a few bucks. This time I am paying month by month.
Website Wizard offers basic service for too much $ and don't apologize for offering limited help and services. They bail when you aren't happy. I would recommend against them and am planning on doing a website teaching people how to do marketing and websites. I will give WW a very BAD review and warn against them! Any company that acts like their shortcomings are your fault is a scamming bad company!
