This is yet another usacomplaints.com about Leasecomm and some of their HIGHER than Thou tactics. I just found out today that some attorney has SIEZED my Bank Account I have had for over 15 years. I have been responding to them over the last year regarding a 2 year old Leasecomm account that I signed for while working for a company. I was not the owner or anything. Let me outline the history of it below;
1. Worked for a company that wanted to setup to do credit cards both in person and across the internet. I was in charge of purchasing for them Signed up with a local company for service & found out that we had also sined up with LEASECOMM.
2. Company went out of business several months later. I was laid off and went on and found another job.
3. Leasecomm contacted me about this & I informed them about the company going out of business & what my position was & they should go after the owner.
4. Approximately 2 years go by. All of sudden I start getting legal papers about this. Also they file in LUBBOCK TX. While I live in ARLINGTON TX. And the Business was located in DALLAS TX. Arlington & Dallas are just 20 miles or less apart. Lubbock is however 200 Miles from either Dallas or Arlington. I am served with papers (10-April) for CONTEMPT OF COURT. They say I am not making myself available or anything. I call them & state that I dont know what all this about & I am unable to attend as I am out of work, Financially unable to go there & that is should be filed in DALLAS or TARRANT county, the 2 Counties where I live & this business was located.
I have NEVER LIVED, WORKED or RESIDED in LUBBOCK COUNTY or CITY in my life. I am told I will have to appear or get a Attorney to appear. I ask how am I supposed to afford one, they suggest LEGAL-AID.
5. I contact WEST TEXAS LEGAL AID via the phone number the court provided. They say they cant assist me as I live in TARRANT COUNTY. They suggest I cont them here. I then contact the local group and they say they are unable to assist as the court is in LUBBOCK TX out of their area.
6. The date (29-April) passes as I am unable to attend. I get a letter from the attornies with a "ORDER OF ATTACHMENT" that orders by arrest and I should be transported to the LUBBOCK COUNTY JAIL. Or I pay $3,000.00 to them. I contact the Attornies & state to them I will make myself available but they have to contact me which they have never done. They then try to tell me that I should have contact them & such. I hear nothing further from them.
7. Several months now go by & I find my Bank Account which I have had for over 15 years suddenly has a ZERO BALANCE. I contact my bank & they inform me that their is a JUDGEMENT against me & they have GARNISHED my bank account. I have not recieved any PAPERWORK or any other form of contact about this. Never has my Bank Account ever been mentioned or discussed.
Now I am wondering if LEASECOMM is going to have me thrown in Jail to try & force me to pay for something I personally never have used or control. I am being hounded by a RUTHLESS Company that has been setup to STEAL MONEY from people thru LEGAL MANIPULATIONS, THREATS and other TERRORISTIC type of behavior. The US Govt needs to spend some of the Time & Effort they are using to fight overseas Terrorists and fight the BIG ONE we have here already upon our shore.
I am a UNEMPLOYED (Victim of the Sept-11 Disaster) New Father. I have a 3-Month old baby at home, a Wife and 1 other child to support. I am not currently on WELFARE or FOOD STAMPS or such. I am however close to losing my home of over 10 years and everything I own because of the way the economy has turned & now what little money I have had, ttying to Pay my utilities & buy FOod & such is STOLEN from me.
YES I say STOLEN. They never gave any concern to me about what bills or other needs I have. Personally I hope some of the ADVOCATES here can assist me to expose this to the world about the corruption, manipulation and underhanded tactics these people use. There are many reports here about LEASECOMM, I am not a isolated case. However I may be the first one that will be taken to Jail in a attempt to try & force me to pay up.
Unfortunately with no money, savings gone & such. I will be taken to JAIL without hope of release. I will update this report when & if something happens. Also please feel free to contact me with any assistance available.
