Purchased 2 $2000.00 Dell Inspiron 8600, battery went out and chargers shorted out on both. For another 450.00 2 new battery and chargers. Received but shortly one of computers unable to turn on or off with out excessive pressure on key board and screen does not shut down with computer until pull battery out.
Online with Dell live chat tech, told to call fee base tech ($49.00 just to have them pick up the phone on their end), and this went on from 9 am to 1:30 pm. I knew laptop out of warranty just wanted info on who, where, how to get laptop fixed.
Now I find out that Dell has had problems for years with their keyboards going out shortly after warranty period is up. I am not asking for free repair but I can't even get information for repairs. The replacement batteries and charges were sent to me but unable to use because Laptop no longer works, I am not paying for items until Dell contacts me. They can take me to court and when I tell the full story of 5 hours of run around, hangups, disconnects and inability to reach any one who can help me because everyone I am talking to is in INDIA, the jobs that no American wants.
I am total P.O.'d with Dell and will never buy another Dell product nor will I ever recommend them. I will be contacting any and all organizations in which Mr. Dell is involved with and ask them why they would have such a person on their boards, commitees, whatever, when he will not stand behind his own products.
The Dell company is a ripoff and with the Dell involvement with the Federal government and trade issues I can see that Dell not only sold out the American worker but they are also stealing from the American consumer and they call themselves and American company" I think not.
