For some time a person and her personal business have been operating from Craig's List (Something we all do). However after being asked to work for them for a short time before I left I found that this person is into writing checks to people (Even employee's!) with the intention of canceling them right away so as to make sure they do not get payment.
Her name is Tia Luxford/Grimm, her company is 24 Hour Computer Doc and Design. I have been trying for over 3 months to find out when she would be paying my my only paycheck from the company before I quit. I was ignored for some time. Finally I was told when I threatened with reporting to the Labor Board that she was not going to pay me. I have all emails and information from start to finish. I will be happy to forward it to anyone else having any problems with Tia Luxford/Grimm.
PLEASE be CAREFUL when dealing with this person if you must. I will keep this warning going for the next few weeks or longer until I feel she has gotten the point that this is not how you conduct business.
Here is further information of actions Tia likes to take for your knowledge.
While working for a company called Nexicore, Tia had employed myself as well as a few others to do in house computer service calls. During the short time I agreed to work with Tia, I was in meetings where she discussed paying an employee with a check where she would have her sign that everything was done and then cancel the check with her bank right after she left.
I was also informed upon agreeing to work with her that one of her employee's had to be fired for installing pirated software on Law Office Computers. Nexicore was not made aware however that after this employee was fired he was then rehired on under a different name (because as I said this was her friend).
When I told Tia her requests for me to meet her in Vail every week were just not going to net me any profit due to gas costs she became upset and has sense refused to pay me. I have been working to get replys for over 3 months and just last week got told she was not going to pay me anything. So after speaking with Nexicore (Who has sense revoked there business with Tia and her company 24 Hour Computer Doc and Design) they recommended the Labor Board and Better Business Bureau. I am currently working on these actions but as I said I wanted to warn those here as well as this is her hub for business she conducts.

So you admit to the bad checks and as I said I have all the proof even your own emails to me so you may continue to lie but if you would like I will post the emails as well. Just keep going you have now been reported to the Better Business Bureau. I sent you one final offer to stop the Labor Board Complaint, its the last time I will be nice. Here is the proof of your admitting to the bad check right here on Craig's List. I noticed you failed to mention the issues with pirated software among other problems ^-^

Lieing is not going to save you here, at some point in time you have to have some integrity and do what your obligated to as an employer. Giving bad checks, not paying for months, asking people to do jobs for you before they are even your employee's then refusing to pay due to your bad business management problems is something you have to deal with yourself. But your only adding to it now.
Good luck Tia, but its only going to continue to get worse until you do the right thing.
