Ok I am writing this here, and on usacomplaints.com
Steve Kauffman has bought the company LA Computer Centers. He changed the name to Computer Connection and has been selling laptops, desktop and doing repairs.
Those who have had work done at this store need to know if they paid for windows to be installed or bought computers these systems are illegal. If you get caught with them Microsoft might choose to sue you!
Now they will go for the business as well but I def. Would let Microsoft know. The employees are doing the same as I am.
I worked for the store for less than 45 days and in that time I saw the following:
— Everything taken in cash was not taxed and put in a separate book. (To avoid tax)
— Laptops bought never went through the 30 day pawn they should.
— Customer Systems were taken in and had Pirated Versions of Office Office Microsoft Windows 98, Windows Windows XP, Windows Vista. (I was given spec. Discs to use which I have written Microsoft about, most of the techs knew and tried to do something but were told they would go down with him and be fired if they said anything as well as physical threats to them)
— Marana Business Lic. To run a business in the city of Tucson
— Did not pay employee's Minimum Wage and argued that there was no Minimum Wage in Tucson.
— Took Stolen Property into the store and resold it.
— Did not get a Certificate of Occupancy.
— Has no insurance as well as no workman's comp and unemployment coverage's.

He was also sited for refusing to pay an employee who was given laptops by Steve's business partner Terry. He tried to claim Theft but Terry made a document stating the systems were to cover the non-payment of wages.
The Prior Employee returned the systems because they did not want an issue and the Office Advised it but the Office had to argue with Steve what the law was due to Steve refusing to believe he was wrong.
This gentleman will screw anyone to further himself.
He sells laptops at 150 claiming they will get on the internet, etc and they are Pentium 1 computers with 8-32 mb of ram max and sometimes a Pentium 2.
He replaces customer parts with used items and charges them for new parts.
He takes advantage of buyers and sellers on their systems with citing to employees he has to make triple the profit on all systems.
A classic example is a Gateway Laptop he is selling used that is at 1000.00 and sells New at Best Buy for 750.00.
Please be careful with this gentlemen. He will take advantage of anyone and everyone he can and he may get you in trouble with Microsoft as he has been reported to the Piracy Department as well as currently pending the City of Tucson and Labor Board action.
Anyone who has been treated this way, has purchased computers or service from this gentlemen should return the systems and report him to the local police, microsoft and the city.
Do not let yourself get in trouble for his illegal business practices.
