Coming from an employee STILL employed by him, but not for long...
My boss changes my pay on me every couple of weeks or months. I was making commission for this company, and every time I would start making some decent money because I was getting better, he would raise the quota that we were supposed to reach, making it harder to get the money that we bust our butts to earn.
I was making a 25% commission. I started bringing home some good money! Then he decided to raise our quota to about $3000 a week. If we werent able to make that much then he would change our commission to a percentage that he thought would be suitable. That was the main problem. He was ALWAYS changing the way we got paid. Even if there wasnt enough work, he would expect us to reach our quota and take our money away if we didnt reach it.
I was offered a great deal by my boss when I told him I was going to quit. I am a GREAT tech at this place, and I fix other employees mistakes all the time, along with my bosses. He offered to pay me 200 a week base pay PLUS 15% commission! That first check I grossed $1500!! I thought things were finally going to be ok in my household. We were constantly struggling because I never knew what to expect to get in my checks.
Well, the next week I caught a bug of some sort, and was violently sick for three days. The boss decided that because I wasnt able to get high numbers in selling and charging for business, he wasnt going to pay me that anymore.in fact, he put me on hourly, making $8 DOLLARS AN HOUR. What a slap in the face. I worked for about 10 days with the previous pay (the base and commission), but when I got that check two days after he decided to put me hourly, my check was for $260. I cant even pay my bills now.
He needs to be stopped!!! Is what he is even doing legal? I feel like I have been stabbed in the back. Every time I started getting paid well, he found some way to take it away. And there are several others that can testify to this also. Employees, previous managers, and even customers that wont do business with him anymore because of the way he runs his business are willing to try to do something to make him pay for what he is doing.
He got angry because we were all discussing our pays he was changing around behind his back. He then told me that I shouldnt have anything to say about it because the 8 bucks an hour should be considered a raise. I didnt even know what to say to that!!! I have never been so betrayed by someone I thought was my friend before. He became a selfish, greedy, lying, cheating, no-good, crooked, business person that should NOT be allowed to do the things he does.
Oh, I forgot to mention... He DID offer us insurance at one point. With a $2000 deductible. He is finding every loophole he can to avoid helping us or paying us the way we deserve.
A friend of mine JUST got fired because he showed his check to me also. I have been with this company for 3 years, and this guy that just got fired, just got hired about a month ago, and he already made more than me. Another new guy that just started is making $10/hr. And im still only making $8.
Please do not do business with this man, his company, or his estranged wife. She only adds to all the bs that goes on in and around this company.
Not only am I the only victim, there are several customers left unsatisfied with the way his company is run. They are over charged, ripped off, used, scammed, and as one of the techs that work there, I would know. I want to take this to court. And I will. And I will have lots of proof, witnesses, documents, and many other things needed to win this case. But in the meantime, dont let anything like this, happen to you. Dont let him get away with it.
