I purchased a Dell desktop PC last September. I configured the PC to my specs which ment that I spent a decent dollar amount for this particular desktop PC. I was assured I would receive a $100.00 rebate for this purchase.
As required I mailed my rebate documents on the 28th or 29th day because the rebate requirement was that the rebate be post marked no later than 30 days after receipt of the system from Dell. I am sure of when I mailed my rebate documents as I keep very thorough records.
To date, I have not received my rebate of $100.00 even though I should have received it no later than 60 days afetr I sent my rebate in. I am shocked and dispointed with Dell. I puchased two other PCs from Dell and my son has purchased a lot of PCs from Dell. My point being we have spent a considerable amount of money purchasing Dell products. I find it hard to beleive that such an company with the largest share of the PC market would cheat a customer (me) out of a measly $100.00.
One last point. So many "rebate" offers include restrictions on the terms of the rebate. I believe that these restrictions which are very often difficult to understand, for instance a time requrement, so that the companies making such offers expect that less than half of their customers will take advantage of the rebate. This is especially true of rebates in the amount of $10 or $20.
In closing, I am very disgusted with Dell after all the loyalty we have shown this company in purchasing their products exclusivey.
