Dell
Or d-hell? Not even a question! Ripoff!

I spent $1250.00 on a brand new Dimension 8400 in April. After 3 weeks of use the hard drive cashed. After hours on the phone with Dell reps in India an the Philippines, Dell told me they would send a repairman to my house and that he would replace the defective hard-drive.

The rep came 3 days later. He appeared to be intoxicated and smelled like alcohol and cigarettes. He warned me that "after 21 days, Dell does not fix a defective part with a new one, but with a refurbished one"!

As a matter of fact he told me that the hard drive he had for me was a used one and that it might still contain someone else's stuff on it!!! He added that he would remove the defective hard drive and stick the new one in, but that he would not install anything! Basically, I would be on my own!

I sent him back to DHell-Land and called DHell back. After hours on the phone, I was told that DHell's records indicated that my hard drive had been replaced by the "technician" they had sent me!

After arguibg with them for 2hours and speaking with a "supervisor", I was finally told that my hard drive had indeed not been replaced, but that they would send another technician back to my house to fix the problem.
That was back in March.

I never heard from anyone from DHell after that! The computer is paid for and they have their money, so they could not care less about me and the piece of trash they sold me!

I wrote to the Texas Attorney General's Office and to one of the attorneys who started a lawsuit in California (a nurse was the Plaintiff). I never heard from either one of them!

This is my second and LAST Dell. I'm telling all my friends about my ordeal and how D-Hell treats their costumers and does not honor any of its warranties, not even the legal one-year standard warranty. If anyone out there knows of a class action lawsuit against Dell, please, let me know so I can join! Dell is the next Enron or Worldcom!
