Computers does not honor $100 repate. Ripoff!

I purchased Verizon DSL through Dell.com which offered a $100 rebate through Dell. All forms were submited along with a copy of the packing slip from the dsl equipment. Dell refused the rebate based on no receipt, but when called, a representative stated that a copy of the credit card statement would suffice.

I then had my credit card company fax to Dell a copy of my credit card statement. The rebate was again refused, stating that the credit card statement would not suffice, and they must have a receipt to proceed.

I then contacted Verizon for a receipt. Verizon stated that they could not issue a receipt because I signed up to pay via credit card, so there never was a receipt created, and that a copy of my credit card statement should suffice as a receipt.

I contacted Dell again, and spoke with Christina who stated that all she needed was a copy of my credit card statement. I then informed her that I had previously faxed a copy of the statement, yet the rebate was still refused. She transfered me to her supervisor, Vinie.

I explained the situation again, and Vinie stated that a copy of the credit card statement would not suffice, and he needed a receipt. I explained to him that Verizon does not and would not issue a receipt, and to use my credit card statement instead. He reiterated that he must have a receipt and that the credit card statement would not suffice. I asked to speak with his boss (Rodalfo), and he refused to allow me to speak with Radolfo or anyone higher than him.

Dell is simply acting in bad faith in refusing to honor this promised rebate.
