Ripoff dishonest uncooperative unsatisfied guarantees

My initial call to Berkeley Nutraceuticals was on May 11. I was informed about the managed care program. At that time, I told them I wanted to just try it free for 30 days.

On June 14, I was informed that if you take the 30 day free sample you are automatically enrolled in the managed care program. I found this out after I had placed a year membership for $240. The same afternoon, I recieved a two months supply at a $70. Charge.

Leslie, the customer service rep., insisted that I was wrong. He finally pulled up the website but refused to take away the $70 fee. I would have had to cancel this product before it was shipped. That would have been impossible because I did not know that it was being shipped against my consent.

Leslie was kind enough to play back half of the recording from May 11. This part of the recording did not include my declining the managed care program. After a dozen times of requesting to speak to a manager, I finally was able to talk to one. This person was as uncooperative as Leslie. I now have to pay $70 for a two month product I did not consent to. I have cancelled any further shipments to my address.

What can I do to recoop my money and to prevent this from happening to others?
