I ordered a sample packet of Dromias, which is a product produced by Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals. I was charged only for shipping for this sample, but a month later I saw a charge of $70 on my checking account.
I called the number listed by the charge and they told me that when I ordered the sample that I was automatically enrolled in a program called Managed Care Direct. Since I was enrolled they would take $70 from my account for a two-month supply of Dromias.
They told me this notice of the automatic was on the order page when I ordered the sample pack, but it wasn't. I requested a full refund, but they said they couldn't once the product was shipped to me.
After pleading my case for about 20 minutes they said they could give me a 50% credit so I would get off the phone. I went to the website and did a fake order and did not see this notice on the page. They said they no longer do the automatic enrollment in Managed Care Direct.
They now offer a full money-back guarantee on orders, but I didn't fall into this group of orders.
