Today I was contacted by phone by a Keith S - t from Consumer Health Benefits Association concerning my search for Health Insurance. The rep asked me if I currently had Health Insurance and I answered yes. He asked me why I was seeking different Health Insurance. I told him I was trying to find a plan with no deductable and that my dr. S were in network. The rep told me that there insurance was a PPO with no deductable and I could use any Dr. He told me how I would only be responsible for a little over my 20 co pay that I have with my current insurance co. He told me how there plan was for Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescriptions.
They were a non-profit organization that cuts out the insurance companys thats how they can offer the insurance at such a low monthly cost. All my family members qualified for $139.95 a month and a one time joining fee for a total of $259.85 for my 1st month. I told the rep that I have a court order to carry health insurance on my step children and he assured me they were covered. This is not a health insurance which he failed to tell me so this is a violation of the court order.
I got scamed and am unsure of what I can do about it.
