An agency in Florida contacted me after I submitted information online in seach of new health insurance. They said for $358 a month I could have insurance with no deductible, no co-pay, excellent coverage on prescriptions, and it covered pre-existing conditions. Sounded too good to be true, and when I questioned that, the agent told me it was because they were able to get me in a special program where I would be enrolled with a large group plan in a company. Not true!
My first doctor visit to get an injection in my knee it did not cover so I began questioning. Found out this was only Supplemental Healthcare benefits and not major medical insurance. Called Health Solutions a fourth time to find out what was going on, and was told that the insurance company, Homeland Healthcare, probably didn't use the PPO. Called and talked to them again! They refunded my 2 months worth of premiums and were very nice. Their next step was to contact Health Solutions and see what was going on. When I left messages at Health Solutions or wasn't promised a call-back, they never called.
