I wanted treatment for some wrinkles I had around my mouth. I went to Focus Medical Spa in Irvine, Ca and was treated by Dr.??? Fraid Mostamand. He offered botox around my eyes and my forehead. I had not intended to get treatment in these ares but the botox was less expensive then the Restalyne so I agreed. He also offered Restalyne to treat the wrinkles located on the lower left side of my mouth. He quoted me the price of $1,600.00. I agreed to the treatments. He did the botox treatment and then the restalyne. He injected the restalyne into the area around my cheeks next to my nostrils to fill in the folds around the area. I did not ask for that! I did not think that area needed any treatment, but when he did it I liked the result. The results of restalyne are immediate. He then injected the area I initially intended to be treated. He injected more viles of restalyne then he had told me hewas going to. The total was $2,300.00 not $1,600.00. But I was happy with the results so I did not mind the extra $. I put ice on the areas that needed it.
The next morning when I looked in the mirror I could not believe what I saw. All the areas treated by the restalyne returned to their original state. I demanded to see the Dr.??? Immediately. The restalyne had moved to other areas of my face. He told me that he was not responsible for the reaction of the restalyne. I later read that when restalyne moves it has been injected either not deep enough or too deep into the skin depending on the area. When he refused to repair the problem, I cried. I got on my knees and begged but he refused. On my knees, I am not kidding!
I got suspicious of things and when I asked to see his license he said "I don't have to show you anything!" Was that because he is not a licensed medical Dr.? I contacted the medical board and they could not find any licensed physichan with the name of Fraid Mostamand. I did however find that he is a licensed chiropractor. A chriopractor!
I spent $2,300.00 for nothing.in fact when the full effects of the botox was apparent I looked like a pixie because he had lifted my outer eye area. He said I would not look tired anymore. I did not ask for that treatment anyways. I have been so depressed since the incident I just want to stay home. I don't want to be seen! Beware!!
