South Florida Center For Cosmetic Surgery ripped me off and misrepresented their services following botched Botox treatment.internet

I went to South FLorida Center For Cosmetic Surgery for Botox injections on my face to reduce or remove my frown lines on May 3. Ms. Claire A. Murphy PA. Is the clinical director of their "Spa" where Botox and other injectables are given and she is the physician's assistant who took care of me. I had Botox before elsewhere so this wasn't my first experience. I purchased the special they were having. Buy two areas and get the third for free and paid $550.

I had several questions for Ms. Murphy. I wanted to know the advantages of purchasing areas as opposed to units which were $10 and was told that areas would be better because I would get as much as I needed as opposed to paying for each individual unit. With the third area free, I was getting $825 worth of Botox for $550. Keep in mind, that at $10/unit, $825 would have paid for 82.5 units of Botox.

My next question was if it wasn't even or there were some areas that I was not satisfied, would she fix it a couple weeks later at no charge. She was rather arrogant in her reply stating that if it needed re-touching, she would indeed do it at no charge, but said she was so good at giving Botox that it would be unlikely that would happen. She claimed to have been trained by the very best plastic surgeons and she "thinks outside the box" and I would be very happy. She told me I wouldn't get "Spock" eyebrows and that my crows feet would be gone.

Nine days later, I could see that there would need to be several re-touches. The 11's (glabella) was still prominent, crows feet were still prominent, and my forehead looked like a V. That's what the paralyzed area on my forehead looked like. I went to see Claire and she injected several areas again. A week later, there was absolutely NO improvement as if water was injected. Went in again and this time, she became defensive, said I must have very deep wrinkles and if she was to try and fix it, my eyelids would droop. Keep in mind that one side was much worse than the other and I was upset to think I'd have to wait till the Botox wore off until it looked ok. She said she gave me eight more units and said she would not give me anymore. I already had over 70 units and the usual for three areas is 60 units. I asked her where the "units" suddenly came from as I purchased areas and she told me I'd get what I needed. She suddenly denied that and said that next time she would simply charge me more. Like there would be a next time! I was amazed at how unprofessional she was as if I was insulting her because the Botox looked horrible. It was completely asymetrical as the right side of my forhead did not match the left side. Crows feet were still prominent and 11's still present. I walked out.

I called the Center and asked to speak with a manager and was given Yari. I told Yari what happened and said she would get back to me either the next day or on Monday at the latest. Of course I heard nothing and I called back on Tuesday. Yari apparantly spoke with Claire and decided I'd have to purchase two more areas at a discount ($325) in order to fix everything. Like I'd would give them one more penny. I said I'm coming in and would at least want the asymetry fixed for nothing. When I got there, eveyrone agreed that my left eyebrow was higher than my right and there were two frown lines on top where it was completely smooth over my right eyebrow. Even though Yari was present, Claire stated I'd have to pay to fix that one spot. So basically they extorted $40 from me to fix the top od my left eyebrow.

So I was given a total of 78 units and I had to pay the additional $40 for four more to correct it. All in all, the Botox looks horrible. My glabella still has frown lines and my crows feet are still very prominent. The other times I had Botox, they were completely gone. Also, since I received $850 worth of Botox, I should of been able to get up to 85 units. This was a horrible, traumatizing experience and I hope others do not have to go through this. The worst part is they dont even care about patient satisfaction. They just want their $money$.
