Back in September my wife applied for a project loan at the Home Depot and we were told that the interest rate would be at 7.99% for 84 months with 6 mo grace period to start paying the loan. Six months later, when the first payment is due we find out that the INTEREST RATE is at a STAGGERING 13.99%!! Unbelievable! Talk about hooking and misleading a customer. My wife holds a Credit Score above 750 and we are very disappointed at the deceiving practices from Home Depot. This is the perfect way for a company to lose a customer for life. If Home Depot really cares about the customer they need to honor the initial 7.99% that was told to us. We are very, very disappointed at how this has been handled.
