We recently had a measuring appointment from Home Depot for refacing our kitchen cabinets. Felt the quoted price was a little high after speaking with neighbors that had their kitchen refaced by a local company. We were ONE day late (4 instead of 3) in putting a hold on the project. The project had not even been submitted. We put a hold on it in order to check one or two other places and their pricing. We then checked with Home Depot to find out what the charge would be to cover the measurements that were done... They informed us that the charge would be $500!!! $500 just for the measurements! We are retired people with a limited income and this is how Home Depot treats us! Needless to say, we would NEVER recommend Home Depot to any one! This seems so very unfair when you're trying to do the best you can. I do understand we signed a contract that specified 3 days, but, come on... 4 days and you rob us of $500 just for the measuring? Home Depot needs to become more customer friendly.
