Letter I sent to the store manager and got no reply!
I was in your store yesterday 05/20 around 1 pm to purchase a computer. The person at the customer service desk who checked me out, I believe his name is Mike is about 6 ft tall, slim, young with short dark hair and acne.
I found him to be very rude and extremely annoying to the point I was ready to walk, which I would have done if I wasn't short on time. He was very persistent about selling me extended coverage on the PC and an antivirus package. I told him no thanks; I had already gotten the warranty pitch from the sales person on the floor. He continued and continued about it, I told him I was short on time and to ring me up at least 3 times during all this he refused to get the manager and ignored my request. He just would not listen, became short with me, and developed an even worst attitude. After he finally completed ringing me up, he came around the counter to put stickers on the box that said 15 % restock fee', he put these on all edges of the box and was very rough with the PC, flipping and dropping it to make sure to get the sticker on all edges. I said, If it's broken now it's on you for being so rough with it, he acted as if he didn't hear me.
His behavior was far worse than any used car salesman or telemarketer I have encountered. I'm sure this is not the image you want for your company and I hope he will be severely reprimanded and at the very least suspended without pay or fired.
You would think with all the negative press BestBuy has gotten on this issue it would no longer happen. I am sending a copy of this letter to the BestBuy Corporate office as well as the media.
I will be sure to recommend my company not do business with BestBuy any longer. I work for one of the largest companies in Arizona, which Fortune 500 rated as one of the top 50 growth companies in the USA.
