I have had a credit card with Home Depot for several years. The first time I used the card and charged $53 on a $4000 line, they reduced it to $500. That was a year ago. I just used the card again after having a zero balance and they closed it for "delinquent credit obligations" on Equifax. I pulled my credit report and there were none, so I called them. They told me I would have to go into the store and reapply. I told them that there was no reason to pull the credit line in the first place. They were jerks. I will never use them again, and I own three houses and do a lot of work (I have another contractor account). Don't be surprised if you use your card and get a similar letter a short time later. They are trimming accounts, probably because their CEO messed up their company. Anyway, this is how they thank their customers for good credit practices? I could see if I had a bad credit report but it was WRONG and they didn't care.in fact, there was no evidence it was even pulled.
