In June the performance plan for my Mitzubishi television was due to expire and I received a renewal plan which gave me the options of a one, two, or three year renewal. I contacted the service plan department so I could better determine what option to take and I was advised that I could take the one year plan and renew when it expired. During a service call in february I happened to mention that my plan was due to renew and I was going to renew again. The service representative told me that no, I could not renew the 2009 renewal was the last opportunity. I have contacted Best Buy corporate office and today I spoke to a supervisor Ben, at the renewal office. Both have said the same thing; "tough luck Mr. Serrano, we cannot correct the error. I explained that if I had known that this was my last opportunity to renew, I would have taken the three year plan. I asked if I could apply for the last two years. The answer I got from both departments is no. This in spite of it being their error. This is just wrong. Best Buy needs to stand up for their error and their responsibility.
