SW Bell Cellular ripoff switched to and double billed me

I was ripped of by SW Bell/Cingular Wireless the day they switched to Cingular (2/1/01) As soon as my cell phone said cingular that is when the problems started. I have automatic payment of my Cell bill from my checking account. On 1/31/01 Cingular took the money out, and then on 2/1/01 they took the money out again.

This cause 3 checks to bounce at my bank, 2 of which were credit card payments already in the mail. So now they have cost me $80.18 (Cingular overcharge), $45 (3 x $15 Bank NSF FEE), $50 x 2 (2 NSF FEE Charges from Credit card companies), $50 x 2 (2 Late payment charges from credit card companies because original payment was returned), $12 Fax Bill to clear up charges. I have also spent over 8 hours on the phone trying to clear this matter up.

After 9 months of dealing with Cingular (everyone wanted to help but had no authority to) I was finall credited the total amount of rip off. I only received a credit when they took real cash that I had to come up with to pay the bills in teh 9 month wait for cingular to cooperate and give me my money.

In the end they still had no authority to credit me what they ripped off but the supervisor gave me the credit and said whocares what they think. Also a special thanks ot molly and linda who helped me out and didn't get mad when I wouldn't settle for being put off any more.
