Sears / Kenmore Front-Loading Washer
Do not buy appliances or warranty from Sears

On 2/16/09 our 4-year old Kenmore top-packing machine (bought at Sears, plus a guarantee) began producing loud knocking sounds & the textile softener dispenser didn't functioning. We planned a fix visit with Sears for 2/18/09. The technology came on 2/18 & identified a damaged drum and blocked accessory device—but had no components with which to accomplish repairs. He requested 5 components (accessory device, steel-drum, drum layer, gear, and 2 models of anti vibration bumps)&it required 3 months for the components to reach! I planned a scheduled appointment for that repairs to occur on 3/9/09 and required your day off-work. I named Sears @ 1 P.M. On 3/9 and discovered that my fix visit hadn't been "numbered" properly and there is no specialist available. I rescheduled the fix visit for 3/11 & my partner got your day off—the technicians turned up and done the machine. They got the aged components absent, telling us the device was fixed. These were kind enough to let's realize that the repairs might have cost us $890 if it'd not been for that guarantee we bought beforehand. Once they quit, we unearthed that they'd not moved the baffles in the previous drum in to the fresh drum when it had been mounted. More, the brand new textile softener dispenser device doesn't function. Being an additional benefit, whenever we attempted to clean lots of garments we got a pleasant mess on the ground before the equipment (that is clearly a new issue)! We instantly named the Sears 800-number on 3/11 to obtain the technology back again to deploy the aged baffles—no such luck! We'd to plan a 3rd fix visit for today (3/13/09). Meanwhile we created several calls on 3/11,3/12 and 3/13 within an try to cope with towards the technology to advise him the baffles must be cut back. No such luck—again. I got a holiday day-today (3/13) to hold back for that technology. He named at 11 A.M. To express he'd get to half an hour and desired to understand what type of issue we were having—incredible he had obtained none of the numerous communications we quit! He called back to state that—obviously—he'd to-order a brand new accessory "construction" (not device this time around) and that the aged steel-drum and baffles have been dumped, therefore he'd will have to-order baffles aswell. I'm currently planned to get a 4th fix visit on 3/17/09—I believe the components wont appear before 3/17

Sears is a large frustration regarding this problem. Based on my guarantee, we do not be eligible for an upgraded machine till we have had 4 individual support calls in a-12 month interval on 4 various issues! Meanwhile, I am going to laundromats and family members' houses to obtain my childrenis laundry cleaned.

Don't get devices or even a guarantee from sears—it isn't worth the several hours/times you will invest awaiting service and speaking with many people in the 800-number!
