I bought a TM home. Since buying the const. mgr. was fired and the sales rep quit. so 6 months into it the players are changed.
On a wed. I had a home inspection done by one of the best in companies in Houston. I received the report by email and forwarded it to the new const. mgr. There were several items uncovered. Ovens improperly installed, etc. etc.
On that Friday I was there with a third party who was measuring for window coverings. A big thunderstorm with hail happened for an hour or more. We were trapped inside.
That's when we saw water leaking in at 7 windows on the rear of the house. water was leaking onto the newly installed carpet. seems there's a cover strip on the outside, but the used were too small.
The inspection report did not discover this because it was sunny the day the inspection was done.
After sending this report to TM I was informed my contract was cancelled and they were keeping my money. I am not walking away from $98,000. I did not build the house.
