I purchased a BRAND NEW Ipod 3rd Generation nano video less than 3 months ago from Circuit City in Salt Lake City, Utah.
From the day I purchased it, this has not worked correctly. The nano will not hold a charge, it locks up, freezes, the repeat does not work, and the volume is immovable, this ipod is for all purposes unusable.
I contacted customer service and they refused to replace it with a new ipod. Since this is only used when I travel - it has been used less than 10 times. This ipod is clearly a LEMON, a DEFECTIVE product, and your customer service refuses to replace it with a new one.
I spoke to William who transferred me to the supervisor Ryanne (who refused to give her employee number or last name). The only thing they could offer me is to replace my NEW, DEFECTIVE IPOD with a refurbished, used ipod. I told her that having a product that someone else has returned because they were having problems with it is not what I am looking for. If I am having this many problems with my NEW ipod this soon after purchasing it retail, I can only imagine the problems that I would have with one that has already been returned as defective by another customer.
I feel that Apple's customer service is gravely lacking, and they refuse to stand behind their product in any way.
