In l994 Purchased a Zennith projection t.V. From Sears Towneast Mall. Received a recall letter stating t.V. A firehazard. Should contact store repair to fix it.
After the part was supposedly fixed the t.V. Went out. The convergence adjustmant causes shadows and then the picture simply doesn't exist. 3 times Sears has sent a repairman out and has charge over $300 each time. I have paid over $1000 and the t.V. Is still not fixed.
Yesterday, I called Sears. The repair person came here, did not address whether the replaced parts which were to be under a years warranty were bad. He stated it would cost $1,200 to fix the T.V. I just can't imagine that. 3 new color boards or parts were replaced and under warranty.
Sears wants to charge $80 for the service call. I am still paying for a t.V. Which I feel is a lemon. Where do I get help with this. I don't even know where to start. The $1000 plus $1200 would be $2200 to get the t.V. Repaired. What can be done? I am not paying all that money for repairs and I resent their indifference.
