I have several complaints.
I scheduled repair appt online. The night prior to scheduled appt i did receive a call from sears saying the repairman would be coming. However, repairman did not show up for scheduled appt. I called customer service they said no repairman in my area & would i like to reschedule. Against my better judgement i said yes. The repairman did shoe up to repair refrigerator. I had two problems to repair. The repairman fixed leak in frigerator with heater probe installation. The repair of the icemaker making hollow ice was not repaired. The repairman immediately without looking at anything said the saddle valve was not allowing enough water pressure to make ice. I told him i had just had the saddle valve replaced in the spring. I asked him if it could be a clogged line or water intake valve; he dismissed both without checking for either of those problems or checking water pressure. He said this was a plumbing issue & they do not repair plumbing. This is odd since sears originally installed the water line for the icemaker. Then when paying for repair i wanted to use my sears giftcard & sears chg card, the repairman said this was a hassle to do; therefore, i was not able to use my gift card.
About a week later i checked the water pressure & saddle valve both of which was fine. I took a chance & replaced the water intake valve (another $42) & the icemaker works great.
I went to sears parts store to buy the part. There i was also not able to use my sears gift card as they no longer take sears gift cards.
I am extremely dissatified with the repairman's either unwillingness to repair both issues. I am thinking maybe he was behind in his service calls; was only allowed to chg a service chg & repair one issue; or just didn't feel like doing both repairs? Having paid $198 for only having one issue repaired.
I believe i should be compensated for at least part of the original repair cost.
Also i am wondering what is the point of a sears gift card if you cannot use it?
I wrote to sears customer service online over a week ago with no response.
I am not surprised.
I used to have great respect for sears but not anymore.
