I called Direct TV yesterday too cancel my service. They then informed that there would be a 260.00 early termintaion fee.in April 08 I called and ordered another receiver because the one I had was older
and affecting the picture quality of my TV. The explanation I got from them was that when I ordered the new reciever it was for a service upgrade, which was not the case and that I entered into a verbal contract to extend my service with them another 18 mos. Not only are they being deceptive about the verbal contract I entered into, but the reason I ordered a new receiver in the first place.
