In May, my Direct Tv DVR receiver stopped working and would not power up anymore. I called Direct Tv to replace the DVR receiver with another DVR receiver no upgrade. I was told since I had the protection plan, my contract would not be extended. Well it turns out that Direct Tv did extend my contract, and refuses to set it back to the previous date. I have called customer service many times about this issue only to be told they will send it over to the correction's department. It seems that the customer service reps can't change the end date of the contract and only the correction's department can do that. While the customer service reps agree with me that my contract should not have been extended, I can't get Direct Tv to change it back to the original date. Finally, a supervisor told me to send a letter to the office of the president to try to get my original end date back. Once my contract ends, I will be glad to get rid of Direct TV.
