I have had a Samsung refrigerator for just under 3 years now. I am currently awaiting repairs for the SECOND parts failure. The fan failed about 3 months ago. Now the compressor won't kick on. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! How can a fan and compressor go out after only 3 years?! The design for these parts haven't changed in 50 years — except that cheaper materials are now obviously being used. Given that I can have my choice of about 20 'fridges from the local recycling newspaper for $300 or less, I doubt that I'll bother to replace the compressor, if they decide they want to charge me, rather than it being covered by the factory.
