I just bought a Lg side by side fridge in may of and the compressor went out just this sat aug. 20th 2011. The compressor was under a 7 year warrenty but they would not help pay for any labor or anyother bills involved with the problem. I paid $1,450. For this product, I am very unhappy that they will not help with this problem. Over $100 of food was lost because of the compressor failing. So, I am going to have to pay over $400 out of pocket to fix this problem, not including the $100 in food that I had to trash. I am very unhappy. I bought 4 other large appliances from LG at the same time as the fridge. I will NEVER buy another LG product again. I feel when you pay that much for a product it should last more than 3 years. I am very unhappy. I have spent over $4,000 on LG product from Home Depot in Kansas City MO. I was told by 3 different LG rep's that the compressor and the other part such as freeon were covered under warrenty. Now I was just told that the freeon and other parts are not covered, only the compressor! I have to pay out of pocket for those parts as well. The refrigerator is a side by side lsc27931st stainless steal. Again, I will NEVER buy another LG product again. I had a problem with my dryer 6months ago, and the company that I bought it from came to my house and fixed the problem in 2 days and did not send me one bill. That is what I expect from a good company. The dryer was also only about 3 years old (same as the refriderator).
