Bought a computer 1 1/2 yrs ago from Best Buys. Mother Board burned up. Replaced Mother Board. At my expense. Reinstalled the software that came with the computer. All went ok. But when asked to activate windows xp I couldnt. After 7 hours with tech support, was told I have to buy a new windows xp... (100$) cause I replaced the mother board. Even though I purchased the registerd windows xp. I now have to spend $100 on a new o/s after spending 40$ on a new mother board... And 40$ on a new cpu chip. I dont understand why I have to buy windows xp again. I bought it with my computer. When I finally said this may be a lawsuite I was told they wouldnt talk to me further. I feel this is a problem with big business saying we the retailer have no rights. I feel ripped off.
