We have the sears master protection warranty for my plasma tv. When i started to have problems with my tv 4 months back they tried varoius things which did not work and finally took the tv's media reciever box for service. This reciever is not the regualr audio/video reciever. Its the plasma tv's media reciever box which is ppart of the tv and the tv wouldnt work with any other reciever, meaning there is no comparable reciever. This was said by the manufacturer pioneer.
Sears was supposed to fix the reciever and send it back to me in 2 to 3 weeks but after several calls and after 5 weeks said they lost it and offered a replacement which was an audio video reciever. After explaining them that it wouldnt work wth my tv they asked us to go to the store and check it.
The technician at the store also confirmed that it wouldnt work and there is no such thing as a comparable item for the lost reciever and th tv has to be replaced. He told this in our presence to the national customer service for warranty repalcement at 1800 927 7836. The customer service person promised to get back with the authorization to replace the tv in 24 hours and did not call back.
When i called in 24 hours they said they needed one more day to research and after waiting for another day and over the weekend i called today monday and agiain they ask to me wait another day. The reciever was taken out from my place by a sears service technician on June 19th saying it will be sent back to me within 2 to 3 weeks. Its been 6 weeks now and sears customer service is giving me the runaround.
I have paid over $2000 in warranty for this tv that costs $6000 and i have not been given proper service and we are out of tv for the past 4 months, that is when the tv staretd to give problems.
