Just one more case of the worst store for customer service. Why does anyone ever buy anything from Best Buy. Consumers Reports Magazine has Best Buy at the very bottom of the rating for large electronic supply stores. Any this is just one more example. We bought a Ninendo Gameboy and apparently out of the box it has a cracked screen. The Gameboy was a gift, our kids never intended to play with it, because they wanted the Ninendo DS. Mom took if from them right away, cause we knew we were going to upgrade.
We took it into a new Best Buy store where it was purchase, (they had no customers, and now I think I know why). They are the ones who told us the screen was cracked. The store manager told us our 5 year old should have known the screen was cracked, because he knew it right away.
Apparently our 5yo and John Z the store manager are equally smart according to him. But here is the real clincher, Best Buy say quote - It not relavent that they sold a cracked screen or not. They are not responsible, Nintendo is responsible and they will not get involved!
Are you kidding me! Here we are watching the sales staff, stocking Ninendo's on the top shelf, where none of the female salepeople can reach them, they have to call the tallest salesperson to get them down, he does not bother to get a ladder, he just tries his tippy toes and finger tips, one of the Ninendo falls in front of us. And they have no responsibility what-so-ever if you buy damage products from them.
SO PLEASE BEWARE. This is who you are dealing with when you buy from BEST BUY. My family and friends, and everyone I can reach, will avoid them. Thanks for nothing BEST BUY Customer service, thanks for nothing SAM with a K at Best Buy customer service.
