My hard drive failed barely one month into ownership of my new Gateway desktop system. I was told a new hard drive would be sent to me at no charge. I waited a week, and called Gateway back at which time was told the drive was never ordered. I was also told that a $75 hold would be placed on my credit card until the defective drive was returned, contrary to what I was initially told.
When I called back, the person I talked to was clueless, and I had to give him my information again and again. And before I could even make sure the part was ordered I WAS DISCONNECTED!!!
This is incompetence and totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! Gateway is selling faulty merchandise and screwing customers who want that merchandise replaced.
