The hard drive on my computer crashed on 9/20/04. I am still waiting for the replacement hard drive. It is now almost 2 months. I cant help feeling that the delay is caused because I was under warranty, I am sure that if I was purchasing a new hard drive, I would have had it within a week. I have had to report the situation to my State's Attorney General Office since numerous phone calls and emails have gotten me no where.
I suggested that since my local computer stores have plenty of hard drives in stock, that I purchase one myself and then Gateway can reimburse me. They did not agree to this solution.
My family & I have purchased 4 Gateway systems over the past 5 years. I suggest that if you looking to buy a new computer DO NOT BUY A GATEWAY
