I had a good paying history with Providian for over 4 year, credit limit had been increased from $1, ooo to $7, ooo. Never late alway payed more that required payment.
Out of the blue credit limit was decreaced and account was sold to Emerge and interest rate went to 29.99%. Took weeks to get in touch with them. I was told that I had become a credit risk.
This should be against the law. Since Providian and Emerge are the same.
