This Company the Receiver Corporation said that they were going to guarantee me a job in DeKalb. Where I live it is hard finding a job. So I was interested. I went on the interview in December. I was supposed to ask for Mr. Rupert (a black guy). He took me and 4 more people to a conference room and started telling us that Receiver Corporation has been in business for a while and that many companies wanted to still their employees from them, but don't let the other companies fool you. Then he left us with a application and questionaire for about 25 minutes. I then started to look around the conference room and thought that I was being watched with a camera or something but then I started talking to another girl and she suspected the same thing. Then, when he came back he then called each one of us one by one to interview with his boss. That's when the boss said that if I wanted to get a job, that I would have to go through the training, which was 4 weeks. The company would pay $780 for me to go through training. All I had to pay was $450 to start and they would cover the rest. They would then pay me $14 an hour for the 4 weeks that I will be training. But, I told the bossman or whoever that I would get back to them. And I left. But the next day, Mr. Rupert was calling me and trying to get me to start training as soon as possible. So this is a scam. I did not really start hearing about this scandal until the end of 2002. This happened to me in December. So be aware of companies like this.
