I was called for a interview at iscs corporation in early november too. The receptionist who called me was named lashonda. I went for a interview a couple of days later and met joseph rupert.
After talking with him for a few minutes, i was asked to fill out a application (then he asked if i had an updated resume, i said no), filled out a personality assessment form, and filled out answers about career and education goals and why i should be hired by iscs corporation. After talking with mr. Rupert some more, he said that it would be between 2 to 3 weeks if i made it pass the screening interview process, i would be called back for a second interview. I was called back for the 2nd interview by
lashonda (she said congratuations, you have been selected to id training.
I was then asked to come to the second interview to meet glenn smith. He lead me to his office and said that he would be right back. When he returned, he talked about the training that i would be taking at home (since i told him i had a computer at home), talked a little more about the salary (i would be making about 31,000 dollars a year from 25,000 based on my experience), talked a little more about the company and about himself.
The training he said would be about 4 weeks or so, and that i would be crosstrained in sales, management and customer service, and that the subject of the materials in the white binder that was given to me by mr. Smith was about flash presentations, powerpoint presentations, website development and management. I would have to write a check for $450.00 for training (he said the
company training costs them $750.00), but that i would get that back plus $1800.00 for training at home. So i wrote out the check for $450.00.
I was moving along thru the training, ready to do the initial letter to a client to explain what the company can do, when i was trying to remember the exact address. I went to yahoo.com, went to the search window, typed in iscs corporation, and to my surprise the search page came up, with the first thing i saw wes the consumer complaints. It was then i knew in my gut (but i believe i knew this
all along, after i tried to stop payment on the check because my car was booted and towed by the city) that this was a scam.
I don't liked being preyed apon, but i know that to let them get away with it is wrong. We need to go after them. I called the number again, but this time the messsage said that the new number wes 617-470-9742. I don't know what area code that is but i'm going to find out. Even if i don't get my money back, going after them is the right thing to do.
