My refrigerator went out on April so I was in the market of another new side by side or gently used one. I thought to support a local retailer and purchased a side by side from Major Appliance Center because I personally have driven by their shop for years and years and they seemed like they would be ok or why else would they still be in business. Boy did I make the wrong decision.

On April 19, I paid a total of $426. Xx for my fridge and deliver from MAJOR APPLIANCE CENTER. They were nice enough to deliver it before the weekend which was a major help to me or so I thought. What they did not do is fully test the refrigerator. They hooked up the water and ice maker and took my old refrigerator back to their shop to evaluate it.

Since I was not at home at the time of delivery some conjecture has gone on about whether they told my grown nephews that the water filter was busted at the time of delivery. They said they were doing me a favor by hooking up the water filter to the water distribution hose but all I know is that when I got home from work at 5:45 P.M. The fridge had so much water in it that the overflow was running water onto the floor below the refrigerator.

I spoke to Bill the head technician immediately and he informed me that he had told my newphews not to use the water/ice cube dispenser. I told him that no one had used it but it was dripping water everywhere. They did not bother to send someone out and unhook the water hose.

That night it dripped so badly that it ran down into the floor boards and caused a major issue for the ceiling below. The plastor became stained and begin to sink due the the volumn of water that had leaked over just one night. I went into the company Saturday April, 21 and told them of the sitation.

I spoke to Pam (the bogus sales rep) who informed me that they do not cover water filters and that was probably all that was wrong with the fridge. I told them that my carpet and floor were now stained and that I wanted an immediate remedy but the only thing they did was send Bill out to take a look at the damage a whole week later.

To date nothing has ever been rectified and they do not return my phone calls. They still have my fridge and act like if they act like it never happened then it didn't.

Pam is the sales rep. Bill is the service technician and Patricia (Patty) Braun is the owner. These people do not stand behind the appliances they sell so I would not buy anything else from them. Don't buy from them. They are liars. They act all family like and southern when the real deal is that they make represenations of their appliance and the real stuff is what they do after they get your money.

The only reason that I bought from them was because they proudly handed me a card saying that they were members of the Better Business Bureau. They are liars. They are not even registered members of the BBB.

I just got off the phone yet again with Pam and she acted as though she did not know that they still have my fridge. They want me to pay them a $30 eval fee when they have not dealt with my carpet or ceiling after all this time.

I am angry as well because they still have my deceased mother's refrigerator. It was only 3 years old when it went out and as you can imagine since it was a mother's day gift that all of her kids and grandkids purchased together, I WANT IT BACK NOW! From their company bothered to come out to my home until a whole week had passed.
