It all started when my mom decided to trust a customer Service Rep. Who on the other line took her bank account info. Assured her that her account would be credited. Our house was being posted about everyweek for a month straight of Warnings that our house was going to be Foreclosed for non-payment.
Well the S.O.B. Took my mom's money and credited to someone elses account. Over $2,400 could not be traced back to the orginal person who helped my mom, the company said they did not have such a person working for them. So, who in the hell was this man in the other end of the phone who took out the money from my mom's bank account!!!
A single mother of 4 with 3 grandchildren living in the home had to then file for bankruptcy to try to save the house. Something that started out at owing $2,400 now turned into $18,000. How is that possible. During this ordeal my mother's blood pressure is hitting the roof on the verge of a heart attack.
She makes the worst dissucion that will haunt her for the rest of her life she agrees to make payments of over $1,000 to try to save the house. (Totally beyond what she can afford and at this time unemployed and only bringing in about $800 a month). The contact stated she would have to pay this amount for the next 18 months to catch up. She signs it.
Last month she runs into money problems. Calls up the company to explain what is going on. She tells them she has half of the money and with Memorial Day coming she would not be getting paid til after the holiday weekend. Customer service tells her oh, that is o.K. Miss Herrera you have 10 days after your due date to make payment with no penalties to account. She then asks if they could make better arrangements with her to change her due date cuz of the way pay dates land. Big fat NOOOOOO!!! They were not willing to make adjustments. Payment was sent a couple days after conversation. We call to make sure payment was received. They verify it was received no questions asked.
A week goes by we are getting ready to go to the movies and two strange men coem knocking on our door introducing themselves as the proud new owners of our house of 26 years. How do you think that makes a person feel. Oh, but the worst of it all was it was the end of the week so of course we have to wait til Monday and while I am writing this no one has yet returned our phone calls. We finally received the letter of Foreclosure on Saturday a day late don't you think. What the hell can we do now that our house is sold... This company has been wanting our house for the longest time what better way to get it by selling it right from under us and then send the letter a day after.
To The Money Store:
Your company sucks. I do not recomend them. They will take everthing you have worked so hard for no matter how long you have lived in your house. Now we have 20 days to move out and where the hell do they exspect us to move to.
