Card was sent with initial rate and changed within a few months to a higher rate. Stopped using the card and made regular payments. A collection company called in September demanding payment.inspecting the account, we found summer payments missing. The company neglected to send a bill since May/June claiming an internet option to send bills electronically was checked. There were no emails sent either! I tried on several occassions to speak with a rep who could verify via confirmed email or letter the electronic option that never happened. They were uncooperative and refused to change the status of a report that marred a perfect credit history.
I sent an immediate payment and closed the account.
I carry a number of credit cards. Capital one will NEVER be one I would recommend anyone carry! FTC, BBB, and others will be contacted.
