I had a Capital One Mastecard and I missed a payment and they charged me late fees, finance charges and closed my account.
After my account was closed I was called by Plains Commerce Bank and offered a new credit card with a transfer of the Capital One account balance.
I paid the account off in full to Plains Commerce Bank and now Capital One has turned me over to NCO collections for a balance of $1600.
This was originally a credit card with a $300 limit. I ended up paying $800 to pay in full but Capital One still says I owe them.
I contacted them and sent them a copy of the payment and all the information and they still refuse to make it right. They sent me a letter stating that my payment for $236 was credited to my account on "September 10". Not only is the amount wrong but I recieved this letter on June 22. We have not even got to Septemer 10th yet!
Leaves me wondering "What's in their wallet"
This is on a credit card that was closed in 2001.
