I am so bothered by all I have read on here. I am in shock that some people would even still consider this a real college and stay at a so-called school where they are being ripped off! Please beware! I want to help you say NO! Just say NO!
I had several friends, including myself who used to work at this horrific business. It is definetly a scam, and we all want to tell you how fraudulent this is! I don't mind informing you of everything, because we had to leave our jobs as 'admissions advisors' because we could not handle lying to you potential students, and to the actual students. We were told to lie to you and we were verbally abused if we did not. Our managers would tell us that "we did not work at a place which respects democracy." Debbie Love, national director of admissions came at us and screamed as loud as she could, "this is not a democracy, this is a dictatorship, you WILL get 3 enrollments each this week, or you will be gone!" She was so red in the face and she was practically spitting at us! She also told us she didn't care who we enrolled, whether or not they could barely speak english, or whether or not they were so poor they couldn't afford the 50 dollars. Debbie and the management stated they didnt care that the potential students were so ignorant they could never even understand how to write a basic paper with the proper grammar, spelling and reading of a normal adult level! They also told us to "enroll a ham sandwich", just so we could make our 'numbers'. If we did not, these numbers were still reported to the CEO as if we did, and this is why the law suits are pooring in. The government is aware! This is not a joke, all management threatens the employees this way, and if you question thier fraudulent practices, they will get rid of you.
All of the people, including myself who quit, could not handle lying, and seeing the mess we were getting people's lives into. We thought maybe one day the truth will be told to you guys out there, but we didn't know how, thankfully it is being done now. Hopefully this website will help you all to see; potential students, current students, and potential employees. Go to a REAL accredidted college that may be expensive, but you know at least it's real. Even cheaper state colleges have a higher level of acceptance than AIU. AIU lies about everything, there is NO acceptance committee, it is just the advisor that accepts you. We are also told by management that if the student asks us if there is a committee, we are of course told to blatenly lie to you and to the government, and of course to SACS, the accredidation people. It's amazing.
Just know that there are honest people out there, and we are some of them. We are sorry for all the lies we were forced to tell you guys. Now you need to know the truth. They are fraudlant and they will do anything to keep telling you lies. Somebody here stated as an ex-employee he felt that AIU was run by the devil himself, and after just 2 short months at AIU, I truly believe it.
I am looking forward to the comments from current employees who are posing as students on here also. We all know you are told to go on here and post postive remarks for your bosses and to 'sell aiu', even on a negative website. This is so sad AIU has to resort to such a horrible way of marketing and advertising. So sad. The story is unfolding slowly, but all of the management and company of AIU's fraud is coming out in the media and advertising. The truth will set us all free. The sad part is that you guys as consumers, the poor souls who truly NEED and WANT, and certainly deserve an education, are the people who will suffer most. You don't deserve to be lied to and certainly don't deserve to ruin your life with a worthless degree.
