AIU Online - American Intercontinental Univeristy
AIU Online American Intercontinental Univeristy Micromanaged, misleading, taking advantage of average people. Rip-off!

This company and its sister company CTU Online is nothing but sales. It is not education. It is completely over-priced. They lured me into working for them by paying me a high salary and the other 200 (admissions advisors)... Or what we really are sales reps by telling us this is somthing that people have already expressed interest in.

This Company is numbers driven having each "admissions advisor" make 200-350 dials a day to their warm leads. I am not sure about anyone else, but when I went to school my admissions advisor didnt have time to call 200-300 students and "sell" education to them. But management there (which by the way is OVERPAID and the most stuck-up bunch of 30 year olds that only know how to micro-manage I have ever met), always let us know that we are not selling education, but rather an appointment to let them reveal details about their "pain" of why they hadnt finished school the first time around.

Any questions about money issues, financial aide issues, or any general questions were NEVER allowed to be answered. We as "admissions advisors" were told to tell our students "That's a great question... I'll get to it later." Hmmm a $30,000 decision and a student cannot get feedback on regards to how much it costs or any details other than we have a financial aid department and as soon as they pay their $50.00 application fee they can speek to them, otherwise that its not part of AIU/CTU policys to let them speek to financial aid advisors until they enroll in school.

STUDENTS Please BEWARE... This is a major monetary decision and this company is full or undertrained, overpaid managers that have only been with the company for 3-6 months before getting promoted to thier current positions. "admissions advisors" are trained for 1 week before calling you and setting up appointments that could change your life, and they are hired though Temp agencys that will take anyone thats willing to take the job since they make a cut of our "high salary".
