Rip off!

I had a Sears service tech come out because my refrigerator wasn’t working. He opened the doors asked what problem I was having and said it was the thermostat. He didn’t look at the thermostat or anything else for that matter. I was told it would cost around $300 to repair but because of the age of the unit it would be a cost effective choice to buy a new refrigerator. I was about to buy one and decided to just wait a few days since the unit seemed alright and it was 2 days before Christmas so my funds were tied up. Low and behold the refrigerator is working fine and I am out the $70 for the service call. I tried to get a refund to no avail. Not even a part'l refund for misdiagnosis. I have extremely unhappy with the service. I have very surprised at the poor service and the lack of customer service I receive when I call the service center as I have had good experiences in the past. I will not be going to Sears for my service repair needs any more and I will think twice before I purchase anything from a Sears store. You’d think a company in financial trouble would care more about alienating customers.
