My Kenmore 5 year old dryer was stopping halfway through dry cycle because of a broken part. The borken part is a thermistor. Retail price of thermistor in Sears website is less than $30.
I call Sears Repair Service and placed a service order to repair the broken thermistor in the dryer. The repairman performed the Services to repair broken thermister on Saturday Sept 29. He told me he would also performed a cleaning of dryer
The work order # is 40738140 and service was perfromed at mu house at 39 Aspen Mill Road. I was charged an outrageous $242.88 for half hour of work. I filed a complaint with Sears customer service and have not ecieved any response.
I think I should pay for the cost of the part $30 plus reasonable labor costs for half hour of work or $50. I want Sears to reiumburse me the difference between what I was charged or $242.88 and the reasonable cost of repair which in my estimation should have not exceeded $100 at the very worst.
