I ordered furniture from FurnitureUSA.com on 3/17/04, at which time I put a 25% deposit down ($1,365.00). I was told it would take 8 to 12 weeks to receive my furniture. I placed the order by calling the company.
During the first two months, I received bi-weekly e-mail updates that basically stated they didn't have a ship date yet. At the end of May, a gal in customer service told me the orders were so backed up that it could take another 6 months to receive the furniture! I didn't receive any updates in June or July, and when I tried to get an update in August, I couldn't reach anybody at the company! I would ALWAYS get put into a voice-mail, even if I indicated I wanted to place a new order. I left several voice-mails and sent several e-mails to various e-mail addresses at the company, and I received NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER!
Since many credit cards won't do anything about disputes after 60 days, this company is running a gold-mine scam by telling customers the EARLIEST they could receive their furniture is after 60 days! They make me sick and I have a terrible feeling that they've ripped off many people!
