American Patio Covers did a poor job with the installation, and as a result, one of the panels cracked. My wife called several times, and each time they promised to come out to take a look, but never did. Then she asked me to deal with them, and when I called, they gave me the same empty promises. After several months, they finally got around to inspecting the problem, and later called to tell me they had a panel to replace it. Of course, they never showed up to fix it. One phone conversation later a different person claimed they never had such panel.
I had to make many phone calls where they promised to call back, and they never called back. I finally got in touch with the owner again who then argued with me that he is not responsible for the crack. I really wanted this fixed so we worked out a deal that we both agreed to. Knowing their reputation of not following through, I asked for a timeline and he gave it to me. Again, did not show up and failed to show up three more times.
I am sitting here over a year later still with a cracked patio cover and am now asking BBB to help "encourage" them to follow through with our agreement. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company and hope to prevent others from having to go through the same thing. This patio cover cost way too much money to have to deal with this type of behavior.
